28th January- Filming first scene at Rahyz’ house

We arranged to do our filming of this scene as early as possible to give us more time to film the other scenes which would require us to travel. The setting was easily accessible and could be filmed at any time of the day as we could control the lighting by using blinds and a lamp.

In today’s filming session we filmed all of our montage sequence of our main character getting up and getting ready. We brought all the props needed for this to make sure we were ready to film. We also bought along our storyboard and shot list to guide us through all of the shots we needed to do and make sure we didn't miss any out.

This session took us a little while to film as we needed to make sure each shot was what we wanted it to be and last for as long as it needed to be. This took us longer then what we expected, but it turned out to be very productive and gave us a variety of each shot to choose from when we was editing.

The picture to the right shows the briefcase we used within Rahyz' bedroom which is where we shot our scene.

5th February- Filming at office

We had to get permission to use the office as it belonged to one of our group members’ granddad and we didn't want to intrude, and this day worked best for him. We made sure the setting outside was dark enough to make it look like it was morning. We ensured that we bought along all the right props to use to keep the continuity going throughout the opening. We also used the shot list and storyboard to assist us again.

During today’s session we filmed the end of the opening which consisted of our main character walking into an office and revealing his secret. There was a lot of prep work involved with setting up each shot to make sure the framing was all right and to make sure that people were wearing the right clothing and using the correct props. The shots didn't take that long to do as we went into the day knowing what is was we wanted to film and how we was doing it. There were a few shots we had to adjust as the office wasn't what we originally thought it was but we managed to work around it and get the shots we needed across.

The three pictures to the right shows our scenery at the office where we filmed. The one at the top is the view from inside where we see our main character walk into the room. The middle one is us getting our victim ready for his shot. And the picture at the bottom shows the corridor of the office where our character walks across.

6th March- Filming at School/ Media Block

Today’s filming session took place after we had started editing as we realised we didn't take these shots and it wasn't possible to get back to our previous location, fortunately for us our school and media block had all the right scenery and tools we needed like a lift for example. We made sure we had all of the right clothing and props still to keep up the continuity throughout, but however we couldn't be flexible with the time of day as school would shut before it would be dark, so we had to film during the day light and attempt to edit it out afterwards.

The shots we filmed were the ones of our main character walking down a path and then going into the office which was our media block, we then used the lift that was available within the media block to take our shots of the lift scene. However there were a few shots we couldn't work around like a shot of a gun reveal as we could see that it was being taken in a different scene and couldn't include it.

The three pictures to the right here shows the scenery we used when we was filming within the school, the first is our lift that we used within our shots, then the second is our building that we filmed in for the duration and the last was the door we used to show our main character go through into his office corridor.
